Adoption readiness is not a single score and it should not be reduced to training completion or communication activity. AdoptionOS treats readiness as a review of the conditions, evidence, gaps, dependencies and leadership decisions that matter before launch.

Critical stakeholders have participated, not simply received communications. Business leaders, managers, process owners and affected groups have had meaningful opportunities to validate impacts, surface risks and make required decisions.
Leadership is visibly reinforcing the change. Sponsors are doing more than appearing in communications; they are resolving issues, setting expectations and holding the organization accountable.
Managers know what their teams need from them. They understand what is changing, what employees are expected to do differently and how to support the transition.
High-impact or hard-to-reach populations have been addressed. Frontline, remote, shift-based, multilingual or geographically dispersed groups have not been assumed ready because enterprise communications were distributed.
Material stakeholder concerns have owners and responses. Known resistance, uncertainty or unresolved decisions are visible rather than hidden inside general engagement reporting.

Affected roles are clearly understood. The organization knows who is changing, what they will do differently and which capabilities each audience requires.
Training reflects the actual work people will perform. Content is aligned to current processes, roles and system design not an outdated version of the solution.
The right people have been reached. Training completion is reconciled against the actual affected population, not simply the original enrollment list.
Access, environments and tools are ready. Employees can obtain the system access, devices, permissions, job aids and performance support required to perform.
Capability gaps have an intervention plan. Missed training, low confidence, difficult processes or high-risk roles have targeted follow-up rather than being absorbed into an overall completion percentage.
Post-go-live learning is defined. There is a plan for reinforcement, refresher learning, new hires and capability needs discovered after deployment.

Important readiness claims have a basis. Statements such as "users are ready," "leaders are aligned" or "training is complete" can be connected to credible information.
Known evidence gaps are visible. Unknown, estimated, contradictory or stale information is not presented as confirmed.
Participation and capability signals have been reviewed together. Attendance alone is not being used as proof of understanding or ability to perform.
Readiness findings have resulted in decisions. Evidence is informing action, not merely populating a dashboard.
Critical exceptions have been explicitly accepted. Leadership understands unresolved risks and the consequences of proceeding with them.

Process ownership is clear. Someone in the business owns the new way of working beyond the project team.
Roles and decision rights are understood. Employees know who performs, approves, supports and escalates critical activities after go-live.
Business procedures reflect the future state. Policies, operating procedures and local practices have been updated where required.
Known workarounds and exceptions are understood. Teams know how to operate when the standard process cannot be followed.
Operational dependencies are ready. Data, security, devices, facilities, integrations or other dependencies that affect employee performance have credible owners and status.

Employees know where to get help. Support channels, escalation paths, hours and expectations are clear before go-live.
Support teams understand the business change. They are prepared to distinguish technical incidents from process, access, knowledge or capability problems.
Hypercare ownership is defined. There is clarity on who reviews issues, identifies patterns and determines when an adoption intervention is needed.
Managers and local support networks are prepared. Change Agents, super users, SMEs or equivalent roles understand what is expected of them during stabilization.
Feedback can reach decision-makers quickly. There is a mechanism for emerging workforce issues to influence communications, learning, process decisions and support priorities.
